Which size where?

100mm wide (standard 2mm thick, available in 1.2mm and 3mm) for small openings of up to 1000mm height, not suitable to keep out drafts.
200mm wide (standard 2mm thick, 3mm advisable for an external passageway) for openings of up to 3000mm height indoors and 2500mm outdoors/drafty conditions.
300mm wide (standard 3mm thick, 2mm, 4mm and 5mm optional) for openings of up to 5000mm height indoors and 4000mm outdoors.
400mm wide (standard 4mm thick, 2mm and 3mm optional) for openings of up to 9000mm height indoors/outdoors, usually for 4000mm and above outdoors or 5000mm and above indoors.

The strips must overlap to a certain extent, depending on the purpose of the curtain, the volume and type of traffic and the height of the passageway. A minimum overlap of 50mm is ideal for people but not suitable for preventing draft or for an outdoor opening. The most common overlap is 100mm. For high, drafty passageways, 400mm wide strips are often used with 200mm overlap (100%, 200mm on the left + 200mm on the right).

PVC strips standard clear

Standard Clear

Suitable for temperatures from -10º C to +60º C and available in any size between 100mm and 600mm wide and 1mm to 5mm thick (we require a minimum purchase for some standard sizes and dimensions). All our PVC strips are flame retardant and have a UV filter that prevents discoloration in direct sunlight (1000+ hours of sunshine). This PVC compound has a B2 flame retardant rating, is manufactured in Switzerland and Germany and tested in Germany, guaranteeing the very highest quality and compliance with the latest EU standards/guidelines.

Neutral clear

Our Standard Clear product for strip curtains contains a compound that offers optimal clarity/transparency and is achieved by using selected virgin resin without pigment which provides this incredible clarity and an original neutral PC colour. Neutral Clear is precisely the same as our standard but has a yellow cast when rolled. We can deliver it in almost every size, but some dimensions have limited availability.

Extra Low Temperature Clear

Remains flexible even in temperatures as low as -45º C but not suitable for temperatures above freezing as it will become overly soft. Strip size: 200mm wide x 2mm thick or 300mm wide x 3mm thick.

Food Safe Clear

Suitable for the food industry, remains flexible thanks to DEHT plasticizers made for direct contact with food, and complies with EU Regulations No. 10/2011 and No. 1935/2004. Strips bear the Food Safe logo (wine glass and fork).

Antistatic Clear

Developed for Data Centres and clean rooms. The material has the same properties as the normal PVC strips but has an antistatic component formulated to give it a surface that is more resistant to static electricity (approx. 2.1 x 10⁸ Ω).

Our PVC strips comply with B2 flame retardant standards, but we also supply PVC strips that meet the German B1 flame retardant standards.

Frosted Clear

Neutral clear strips with a frosted finish that lets in light but restricts visibility. Ideal for areas that require privacy but where an opaque curtain would be unsuitable.

Standard Double Ribbed

Our double ribbed strips have ribs running vertically on both sides. The ribs take the impact of forklift traffic, preventing dirt from building up and giving them a longer useful life than flat strips.

Extra Low Temperature Double Ribbed

Double ribbed strips suitable to use in freezers. Not only do the ribs reduce wear and tear but they have an extra advantage in freezers: they keep the strips from sticking together, making it easier for employees to go in and out.

Coloured PVC strips

Our coloured PVC strips have the same properties as our standard clear PVC strips. We can deliver all colours in the standard 200mm wide x 2mm thick format. 300mm x 3mm is available in red clear and black, white and grey opaque; 400mm x 4mm is available in red clear and black opaque. We can produce strips in any of these colours up to a maximum of 400mm wide and 4mm thick, subject to a minimum bulk order.
